Looking for examples of calculus in engineering

(OP)
I am looking for simple examples of calculus in real-world engineering problems. An example would be generating shear and bending moment diagrams for beams in civil engineering. Another would be calculating the fuel to send a rocket in space, where the weight of rocket is constantly changing as more fuel is burned.

Just looking for simple examples like these...

ODE or PDE?

How about a delay-differential equation.
Simplest one:
m*xdd+c*xd+k*x=H*x(t-tau)

This would describe a delayed feedback on a simple mass-spring system.

Have you tried looking on MIT's Open Course Ware sites. Just type in google: MIT OCW

Theirs all sorts on there. tutorials, videos....

That book doesn't not cover delay differential equations. It is usually an option. However, a lot of real world systems really are delay systems. We just ignore the delay for easy of analysis.
In fact that book doesn't even cover differential equations at all.
