(OP)
Having posted this same request in the Mechanical Section I though this might be a better site to get some aid.

I have been asked to manufacture two fittings of what appears to be obscure threads which will be mounted onto  pipe samples and they are 5/8 NPT and 7/8NPT.

We have looked in the  machinery handbook and the H-28 standards and these sizes do not appear, however I am informed that they are used with some hydraulic piping does any one have ASME B1 or B3 that they can check.

These are to being machined on a centre lathe and whilst we know the Threads Per Inch what we do not know are the pipe Ø`s pitch Ø`s or the measuring distance from the first full half thread namely E1 dimension  L1 length for both threads.

As we are using full form chasers major diameters will not be a problem.

Have I been asked to manufacture something akin to "ELBOW GREASE".
