Hi everyone !

How can I pick information in a part (.par) and display it in the assy BOM, like the length of an HSS or some thing like this

THX

RE: Part parameter

Every parameter for the part will get a variable name that appears in the variable table.
These can be viewed and renamed, so in your example you can rename the variable for the length from something like V1234 to LENGTH (use Tools > Variable Table).
I tend to use upper case for re-named variables so that they are easy to see.
There should then tick the "Expose Variable" check-box and that will make it visible to the BOM.

Also if you double click on the dimension, you can then enter a new name in the dialog box in the upper left hand corner. Just enter name and then "ENTER". After you choose "ENTER" you think nothing has happened, it has happened..:)

RE: Part parameter

Hi BC,

I just found your message, you posted it here instead of in my thread Surfacing Help.

I never would have thought of using intersection points and keypoints curves.

Thanks a lot!
