What criteria do I need to meet for this classification?  The code calls for all masonry to be special inspected so I thought this is what I need.  I am trying to get the R value for seismic above the 2 value for just ordinary reinforced masonry shear walls?

thanks

RE: special reinforced masonry shearwall

Go to Chapter 1 of ACI 530.  The requirements for the various type of shear walls can be found there.

RE: special reinforced masonry shearwall

There are specific requirements for the special reinforced classification. Check with ACI-530.
