Swing check rating

Swing check rating

(OP)
I was asked to make sure that a swing check used in a project could handle working pressure of 70 psi and flow rate of 65 GPM. The manufacturer gives me a pressure rating of 200 psi for water.  Sounds dandy.

However, if that swing check closes, flow rate becomes zero and the pressure pushing back on it would be determined by how much water is above it in the system.  Do I even care about working pressure & flow rate or do I just base it on pressure head?  Am I just overthinking this?

Thanks!
