Suspension geometry for beginners

Hello all,

New to the forum so I'll like to start by thanking you all for your help.

Just started a new product design job designing scale radio control car models however I've not studied suspension geometry in the past and I'll like to read up on how to design suspension geometry. where to place pivot points, length of wishbones etc.

Thanks

Ray

Click approximately 1 inch above and 1 inch to the right of your username and there is a section called FAQs, in which the wisdom of the ages has been distilled.

I'd add that Brian Beckman's Physics of racing, which is online, is also a damn good read,

RE: Suspension geometry for beginners

Yes, you probably need a book or some software. Both are listed in other FAQs.

we're Engineers so we should demand for 24" TFT monitors :D

RE: Suspension geometry for beginners

Puhn is likely a better introduction, and you may well end up with either Milliken or Dixon once you get more into it.
