Full face gasket

Full face gasket

(OP)
Could anybody recommend any proper full face gaskets to apply to 150# flat face cast iron valve with 150# flat face flange till temperature 400 degree F?

Thanks,

RE: Full face gasket

There are a number of materials rated up to and surpassing 400F.  PTFE, Viton, Silicon, Copper, Hi Temp Blended Rubber, just to name a few.  Depends on what the service is for.

RE: Full face gasket

Just go to the Garlock website - they list the service conditions for their gasket materials. Blu-Gard is good to 400F, and Graph-Lock is rated to 850F. Other manufacturers will have identical/similar products.

Just a note, cast iron valves are class 125 and 250. You might have a ductile iron valve, or a cast steel 150 with the raised face machined-off. You may want to double check the valve.
