NX Nastran: issue with results

NX Nastran: issue with results

NX Nastran: issue with results

(OP)
Hello everybody,
i'm trying to figure this out: after running the solve function and being that completed, no results file are loaded. No vdm, no out files, plus empty f04,f06 files.

This is the first simulation I perform. You can see in the attached picture how the navigator appears after the steps i described.

Looks like no errors occur, though nothing goes on.

Thank you everybody

RE: NX Nastran: issue with results

Hi drCox,

I have exactly the same problem. Have you already solved it? Does anybody know how to solve this? Thanks in advance!

Kind regards, Ronald

RE: NX Nastran: issue with results

Dear drCox,
Your picture is not valid to know what is wrong with your model, please post ASCII files "barraFEA_sim3_Solution_1.log" & "barraFEA_sim3_Solution_1.f06" where you can read the reason of the error: it could be an installation problem of NX AdvSim, a license error, or that the model is not correctly defind, etc.. many reasons could exist.

Best regards,
Blas.

RE: NX Nastran: issue with results

Hi

You can also try patching the software. Then you won't have to change the date every time you run Nastran.

I don't use NX myself but this was recommended in another thread:

http://ftp.ugs.com/nx_nastran/patch/

Good Luck

Thomas

RE: NX Nastran: issue with results

Dear Ronaldlamers,
The "Date Check NSINIT error" problem has been resolved by Siemens PLM with a software patch that changes a binary integer value and in effect changes the date check algorithm to allow the program initialization to proceed. The benefit of this approach is that there is no change in the compute engine, memory map, or any other portion of the application that would affect results from NX Nastran".

New patches exist to update the NX Nastran solver in the different versions available from download from GTAC, NEVER turn back the date of the computer.

Best regards,
Blas.
