Sometime ago I posted a thread on methods for the above. http://www.eng-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=231911&page=1
The main suggestion was to use a phase rotation meter and residual magnetism method.

A new idea has popped up. Connect one phase from the line to one phase of the induction generator and run at synch speed, then measure the combinations of gen phase to line phase of the other two open phases. The lowest voltage pairs determine the phase connection.

Sounds easy. Is it correct?
