mtext truncated in AutoCAD LT 2008

mtext truncated in AutoCAD LT 2008

(OP)
I'm running AutoCAD LT 2008 and editing a large Mtext block with columns.  After clicking ok to save and get out of the text editor, I get a message that says "Mtext may be truncated.  Save anyway?", with only 2 options: OK or Cancel.  And sure enough, when I hit OK, the last part of the last column is gone.  I've tried changing from static to dynamic columns and back again, and my grips for the block are well outside the text (not that that should matter), but to no avail.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

i believe the size limit for mtext is 32k. you may have to start splitting your table!
