Possible to create Associative Point at intersection of 3 Planes?

Possible to create Associative Point at intersection of 3 Planes?

Possible to create Associative Point at intersection of 3 Planes?

I don't see an option for this, but it would be useful to be able to create an Associative Point at the intersection of 3 Planes.

(If this is already possible, please tell how?)

I know that it is possible to create a CSYS feature with 3 Planes (and that the resulting CSYS will have a Point along with its planes and axes).  But, it seems that the option to create a single point at the intersection of 3 planes is a logical and useful functionality.

RE: Possible to create Associative Point at intersection of 3 Planes?

You do it in sketcher. Create a sketch on one plane and put in a point that is constrained point-on-curve to the other two planes.

RE: Possible to create Associative Point at intersection of 3 Planes?

I assume you want it to be associative, correct?

To an Engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

John, yes, it needs to be Associative.

@mmauldin, yes, of course you can do it as you say; but this implies you have to make a Sketch just to get your point.  However, my post was targeted at using the Associative Point tool (found by going to Insert > Datum/Point > Point).

Thanks.

RE: Possible to create Associative Point at intersection of 3 Planes?

Other than the already suggested 'sketch-based solution', I'm not aware of any practical scheme to associate a point to the intersection of 3 datum planes.
