Transformers losses and impedance

Transformers losses and impedance

(OP)
Hello everybody,

I would like to receive some feedback related to:

For thre phase liquid inmersed transformers ranging from 45 to 750 kVA of 33/0.48 kV.

From your experience, does anybody know some typical values of excitation current and No load losses ?

We are interested in knowing these values, because nobody has the tests protocols neither manufacturer provided information related to it.

Best Regards

RE: Transformers losses and impedance

Are you referring to 3 phase 50 Hz or 60 Hz transformers? Approximately no-load losses will be 0.25 -0.15% of rating and excitation current will be 1.6 to 0.5 % of rated current.

RE: Transformers losses and impedance

For oil filled transformer 50-60 Hz 6-36 /0.4-0.42 Kv
KVA            100     1000    2000    3000
no load [w]    320    1700    3200    4400
no load [%]    0.32%    0.17%    0.16%    0.15%
Io[%]            2.50%    1.55%    1.20%    1.00%
load loss[w]    1750    10500    22000    30500
load loss[%]    1.75%    1.05%    1.10%    1.02%
impedance    4.00%    6.00%    6.00%    6.00%

Hello,

I thank your answers and comments

We are trying with 60 Hz and we have previously contacted some manufacturers in order to get the typical data of those parameteres but, at their websites nothing was available.
And talking to them on the phone, the answer was: we do not disclosure.

Because of that, we come to ask for your support!

Have a nice weekend
