ASME Calculations

ASME Calculations

(OP)
Does anyone out there peform calculations for changes to small low pressure boilers?  A colleague has a project involving re-rating some boilers from 15 lb steam to 30 lb hot water (they are not currently rated for hot water) and also installing larger nozzles for the water return line.  The boilers are Kewanee and Cleaver-Brooks.  He is looking for someone who is licensed and does this for a living or on the side.

Thanks,
Brian

1464649,
Why not revert back to the original Equipment Suppliers as they understand their Equipment better than anyone else and should be able to assist in the modifications.

RE: ASME Calculations

you need someone with an R stamp to re-rate and alterate the units.
talk to your jurisdiction inspection agency, they will be involved anyways
yes you can do it easily. looks pretty good and profitable.
do not forget about me...
