nozzles in FTCO

Hi Everyone,

I have been requested to install a 3" nozzle into a FTCO and I have a couple of questions.

1. As per API 650 sect 5.8.3.4 the nozzle size is limited to 2" and points you to sect 5.8.3.1 for guidlines. This section is for unreinforced openings. Does this mean you could go with a larger nozzle (3") if you were to add reinforcement?

2. One of my FTCO has already been built, tested and PWHT. Would the cover have to be PWHT again after the nozzle weas installed? The cover thickness is 1 1/4".
