(OP)
Hi All,

I'm interested to see if anyone uses Propseed.txt
If so in what context?

Cheers

Mark

RE: Propseed.txt

Yes, very much. We use it to populate category, keywords and some custom properties.

RE: Propseed.txt

I use it a lot for the same reason as Toffet. For example I work with stainless steel sheets so I inserted all the surface finish that I need in the propseed. This way I have a drop down menu of the finish available and I'm sure it's typed in the same manner everytime.

Cheers

Patrick

RE: Propseed.txt

Hi Mark,
I'm a former SW user and I used their equivalent all the time. I was an easy way to 1) control all custom properties, and 2) have a pull down list available.

We used custom properties to help distinguish commodities and other commonly used parts.

The propseed.txt file has the advantage of including categories, while the SW version only had a single list of properties.

Hope that helps.
