Soil data required

Soil data required

Soil data required

(OP)
Would anybody be able to point me in the direction of reliable soil data. I am searching for as much data as possible with the parameters of porosity or void ratio, particle size distribution (PSD) and permeability included. I have been searching for a while now and have got a bit of data but nowhere near enough. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards

Logan

RE: Soil data required

It is doubtful (maybe to actually find) that extensive study has been done.  I would find the various older text books that would have case histories - older papers.  Have you searched the agronomy type sources - they are quite interested in porosity/void ratio for plant growth.  I'm sorry I don't have anything 'extensive' on the subject specifically.

RE: Soil data required

Logan;
If you are in the USA, the most detailed soils information I am aware of is through the NRCS.  The following is a link to the web soil survey: http://websoilsurvey.nrcs.usda.gov/app/WebSoilSurvey.aspx
.  If you are elsewhere or this is not detailed enough, I recommend contracting with a geotechnical engineer to obtain the correct data.  Good Luck!
