Pipe line Restraints for Hillsides

Pipe line Restraints for Hillsides

Pipe line Restraints for Hillsides

(OP)
I have a client that is constructing a waterline on a 2h:1V hillside.  The hillside has evidence of creep.  Therefore, the client should add restraints to the pipe.  What kind of restraints have people used??  Any suggestions??

RE: Pipe line Restraints for Hillsides

I think acommodation of change of lenght and bending (using flexible pipes) is a more important thing than the nature of restraints used. Also, it would be reasonable to evaluate in some way the likelihood of some important movement, general or local developing. The nature of the evidence of the creep may guide to the proper safeguards.
