Silicone gasket properties

Could any one be kind enough to provide me with design factors -"m" & "y" for silicone gasket 60 Shore "A"? I also need suggested seating stress, as well as allowable compressive stress for this gasket material, I contacted a few vendors but none could send out. Strange, is not it?
Thanks in advace.

RE: Silicone gasket properties

Danbury, if you haven't contacted the major manufacturers, such as Flexitallic, Garlock, etc, you should do so, I would be very surprised if they couldn't provide the data.

Failing that I think you would be justified in using the Code values of 0.5, 0 for design. Seating and allowable compressive stresses will probably have to come from a manufacturer though.

Mike

I don not think Flexitallic and Garlock produce silicone gasket.

Thanks,
