Does anyone know what a circle with an SM inside means?  I've seen this on a 7200/12470x24900/14400 delta transformer.  Thanks.

RE: SM symbol

For me, SM inside a circle means "Synchronous Motor".

RE: SM symbol

TM is a trade mark that is not yet registered.
R in a circle denotes a registered trade mark.
A service mark is a trademark applied to a service, whereas a trademark is applied to a product.
And a C in a circle means that it is copyrighted, and cannot be used without permission from the owner of the copyright.

RE: SM symbol

Before we have any more suggestions, a little more information about where on the transformer the symbol was found might go a long way to getting an answer. A photo would be even better.
