 i would like to know if the dc motor still used as drive for lifts .with detailed comment if u please .

i wonder why none want to answear this question ,however for me it seems not simple ,because all lifts that i have seen was in as.motor(squirel)with 2speed but these was for 9 floors only and i want to calculate for 23 floors ,in this case ,do the as.motor remain valid for this purpose .wait for an understanding help.

It may be that readers don't have related experience.  In the US, elevator design and maintenance seems limited to a small, probably well-regulated few.  Persons experienced in these special systems and drives could be uncommon among those who check this group.  In which country is the system?
