Hem-Fir Pressure Treated Sills at Shr Walls

Hem-Fir Pressure Treated Sills at Shr Walls

(OP)
Does anyone know (or can provide references for) the issue of the specification of pressure treated sills at shearwalls having been resolved by the use of current Borate based treatments.
It is my understanding that previously the specification of Doug-Fir for pressure treated material was widely unavailable and that Hem-Fir was infact widely used due to the better penetration of the treatments. I'm getting extremely low anchorbolt allowables in the Hem-Fir mudsill and would like to stick with a Doug-Fir specification if this is common practice now.
Thank you.
