how do i select belt drive pulleys to suit an electric motor of 25H.P with speed of 2850 r.p.m. so as to achive the final speed of 540r.p.m. distance between pulleys should be 1,16m

Look in the back of the pulley catalog.

Call your local PT ditributor. They can run it through their software to give you many options.

Make sure your motor was designed for an overhung load, or use with a pulley.  The shaft needs to be larger in diameter than a "normal" 25 HP motor.

Well, if you are only intersted in the drive pulley, it's pitch dia. will be a ratio of the two given RPM's.
