Pressure Calcs

Pressure Calcs

Pressure Calcs

(OP)
I've got a slurry of 45%w/v being pumped 2km through 10 inch line. I'm going to be adding a polymer that will increase the viscosity over time as the polymer dissolutes, residence time in the line is around 12 minutes. I need to calculate what the increase in pressure is going to be ?  what parameters am i going to need;

1) viscosity/time curve
2) vel m/s
3) m3/hr
4) existing line pressure

This is my first post so hopefully someone can assist me with this ?

Thanks in advance

RE: Pressure Calcs

You do not have enough information to make a calculation. Your best option is probably to use application data from a similar pipeline.
