Test the Macro

Test the Macro

Test the Macro

(OP)
Hi,

Can anyone test this macro. I have tried it on different machine and getting "Out of memory" error. If you are able to run it successfully, kindly let me know.

Link for the macro : http://www.esoxrepublic.com/freeware/BlankDatums2.php

Roland Schwarz told me that he made one fix for some who were getting errors. It was written in SW 2007 SP 4.0. I have tried it on SW07 2.2 and 5.0 but still same error.

RE: Test the Macro

I have the same error from my end. I'm using SolidWorks 2009. Ask Roland Schwarz to save the macro as .swb not .swp format or paste a code as text. The error happens with referenced libraries. If you create new macro and just paste the text to it I believe the issue fixes.

RE: Test the Macro

I tried to reply a couple days ago, Deepak.  That was when the SW forum site was down.  Sorry.

I use this macro every day, and every version has always worked for me.  The one change I made was with how the macro acquired the SW application object, which fixed the problem for the one user who had lodged a coomplaint.

Without the ability to replicate the failure, I can not track down the source of the problem.  I will take some time today to look for more potential problems.

Meanwhile, I would welcome any indepenedent exploration of the problem.  It is a macro, and the code should be available to examine.

RE: Test the Macro

I wonder if this is a 32-bit vs. 64-bit issue.  The original is a 32-bit program.

If anyone w/ 64-bit can get it to run, I would like to know.

Roland,

Thanks for the new macro. I will give it a try on both 32 and 64 bit machines and update you.

Checked on following machines/version and results are OK.

32 bit: SW07 SP5.0 & SW09 SP3.0

64 bit: SW07 SP5.0
