Stacked Balloon question

Stacked Balloon question

Stacked Balloon question

(OP)
Hello all,
I am now adding materials like Loctite, anti-seize, etc to my assembly models and the assembly drawings.  How do I have the stacked balloon (2nd) balloon with the bolt, call out the proper item number from the SW BOM?  Example, the bolt is ITEM #3 (no problem here) but the stacked ballon with #3 should call out ITEM #15 (this is the Loctite).  The Loctite does show up in the BOM with no issues.  I did try to change the stacked balloon type to "text" but it does not update when the BOM updates.

Thanks for any help,
BB

RE: Stacked Balloon question

If the Loctite, etc has been added as a dummy part (no geometry) you could select the origin point to populate the balloon.

Hi CBL,
Thanks for your idea but I am using more that one kind of loctite in the assembly and I do not want an arrow for any of the "dummy parts".  There must be a way as it seems like a common practice.

Thanks,
BB

RE: Stacked Balloon question

No, I mean after activating the stacked balloon function, and selecting the first item, clicking on other parts will add a balloon too the stack.
