transformer Factory acceptance tests

transformer Factory acceptance tests

transformer Factory acceptance tests

(OP)
I need to Know about the  Factory Acceptance tests (FAT) for a 13.8KV/0.48 KV  oil filled transformer.
The routine test include
1) Winding resistance
2) voltage ratio & check of voltage vector
3) measurement of impedance voltage & load losses
4) No load los & current
5) Dielectric tests
seperate source voltage withstand & induced overvoltage withstand test
6) Test for auxillary equipment & wiring
 7) Test on OLTC

Which additional special test from below are also required
1) Temperature rise test
2) Dielectric test-Lightining impulse test
3) Dielectrica test-PD & Chopped wave LI
4) Measurement of zero sequence impedance on three phase transformer
5) Short circuit test
6)Measurement of acoustic sound level
7) measurement of harmonics on no load current
8) Leakage test for transformer tank.

the transformer is 900 KVA.

Thanks in advance

RE: transformer Factory acceptance tests

Is this a standard design or a one-off customm build? If it is a standard design then certain tests might reasonably be waived as 'type tests'.

RE: transformer Factory acceptance tests

zaza123,

From your spec (13.8-0.48 kV)it seems that your transformer is made for ANSI/IEEE stds.

Therefore, if you refer Table 19 of IEEE C57.12.00, it gives a complete list of routine tests and special tests any manufacturer has to carryout as FATs.
