.sat file import

.sat file import

(OP)
I received a file from a customer today in .sat format. Shouldn't be a big deal to import, right? I've done it often in 2008 and earlier.

When trying to open it I get these messages, in sequence:

The specified module could not be found.

Could not load SolidWorks DLL: sldsatu.dll.

The Add-In selected is not a valed SolidWorks Add-In

I'm running SW09 sp2.1.  Your help would be welcome.

Regards, Diego

RE: .sat file import

Looks like your SolidWorks SAT translator is corrupt or missing. Or perhaps the SAT file is of a later version than SW supports? SW supports up to SAT V16, and SAT is up to at least V18.

Have you searched for sldsatu.dll ?

I found mine in C:\Program Files\SolidWorks Corp\SolidWorks

Or maybe just try rebooting and restarting SW, and try again.
