SET n command

SET n command

SET n command

(OP)
Hello everybody,

I'm trying to divide a machine in components by the SET command, but I'm having some problems with where I have to write it.
I tried to do it in the Case Control Section and Executive Control Section text boxes, but it didn't work.

I will appreciate any kind of help.

Thank you.

RE: SET n command

I have used the SET card to control which nodes/elements to print/plot results for by defining the card in the "Case Control Section".

However I have been caught out in the past by forgetting the maximum line length in this section is 72 charachters.

RE: SET n command

If you request results output by Patran group in the advanced results output sub menu of 'Analysis'it converts this to SET n commands in the NASTRAN deck.
