special inspector certification ICC

(OP)
To take the test it reference the ICC code book. The test itself, concrete, masonry or steel. Does that test reference the whole code book or just that chapter concerning the test.

Reason, I have copies of the chapters but not the whole book. Do i need the whole book to take the test?

RE: special inspector certification ICC

Depending on the certification the various ASTM, ANSI or ASCE standards commonly drive more of the test questions than the building code itself.
