High Gloss white and/or black plastic ridged sheet

I'm looking for a rigid sheet of white and/or black plastic (1mm-3mm thickness) that has a high gloss finish. I'm thinking something like an acrylic sheet but so far I haven't found anything like this.

RE: High Gloss white and/or black plastic ridged sheet

Have you tried Google or Yellow Pages for your area, wherever that might be, for acrylic sheet suppliers. Also try Perspex, Shinkolite, Oroglass, Plexiglass. I am sure there are other brands.

Also backlit sign makers normally can supply acrylic sheet as they use a bunch of it.

RE: High Gloss white and/or black plastic ridged sheet

It's at this point that clarification must be requested before we all go off in the weeds somewhere:

Rigid or Ridged?

The answer to this question makes all the difference in the world.  I have an opinion as to which you're looking for, as do Harry and Pat, but crazy requests have been known to appear in these parts...

RE: High Gloss white and/or black plastic ridged sheet

I know it's normally pretty safe to presume anyone not stating their location is from the USA, but it's not 100% reliable.

This time I resisted the urge recommend a supplier in Sydney Australia or Nepal, without actually saying that is where they are.

How rigid?  Polystyrene or ABS are 2 good choices, as is the acrylic previously mentioned.

The material has got to be rigid. It must have a high gloss look. The nearest I have come across is a product made by ParaPan which is mostly used for kitchin cabinet doors. They do a 4mm thickness version which is close to what I need.

But is there anything else available?

Icestation: It would help if you stated your location as intimated by Patprimmer?(country will do)

Cheers

It's ok - I had two spare minutes today anyway...
