New part appearance in assemblies

New part appearance in assemblies

New part appearance in assemblies

(OP)
Since switching to 2009 I have noticed that when I drop a part into an assembly its appearance is always shaded w/o edges, even though the rest of the assembly is shaded w/ edges. To get edges back on my new part I have to open the part and rebuild it. Its not a big problem, just kind of annoying - is anyone else experiencing this?

RE: New part appearance in assemblies

I am seeing the same. All I do is a Ctrl Q on the assy.

Is Ctrl Q refresh image?

RE: New part appearance in assemblies

Ctrl Q = Force Rebuild of the parts in the assy. It is one step up from a simple Rebuild.
