2A Modified Fill Bearing Capacity

2A Modified Fill Bearing Capacity

(OP)
Hello,

I'm having trouble finding any information on the bearing capacity (in PSF) of 2A modified fill.  The capacity that I'm looking for has to be at least 10,000 PSF.  If anybody could point me in the right direction it would be really appreciated.  Thanks.

RE: 2A Modified Fill Bearing Capacity

2A modified fill has no meaning to me - as MTC Granular A or B has no meaning to you. Do you have the specification - state? Fed? AASHTO? is it crushed fill or natural?  What level of compaction will you require?  How deep is the fill?  Will underlying layers be influenced by your footing (presuming that you are looking at a footing)?  Etc.
