Well head piping as per API 6500

Well head piping as per API 6500

(OP)
Dear members,

Now is my first experience for well head piping.

The P&ID requires spec break between ASME B31.3 and API 6500.

My questions are;

1. What is API 6500 piping?
2. What are the codes&standards that govern API 6500 piping? (wall thickness, rating, material spec, etc.)

Thanks in advance....

There is no 6500 psi rating in API 6A.
That is why I ask this question.......
