When trying to edit a sketch on a current part in NX 4, program displays the following info message(see attached) and does not allow the sketch to be edited:

Thankyou

Burti,

You need to activate the icon on the Feature Toolbar to enable you to Edit pre-v13 Sketches.

In saying that, it's probably easier to delete the Sketch and recreate in NX4.

RE: Editing Pre v13 sketch in NX 4

This will be correct. What you can do if the sketch is worth maintaining is to use the "Edit Pre-V13 Sketch" Tool.

If you want to recreate the sketch bringing it up to date then you could isolate the old sketch on a separate layer then copy the curves to the layer that you want to work on. Then you can roll you model back one step behind the original sketch as create a new one on the same plane adding the copied curves into that new sketch and reconstraining them as required. As you roll the model forward to whatever extrude or revolve feature that was created from the sketch you ought to be able to edit them to change the defined profile from the old sketch to the new one and update your model accordingly. Then finally you can ditch the old sketch permanently.

Hope this helps!

Best Regards
