Finned Tube Heat Exchanger Design

Finned Tube Heat Exchanger Design

Finned Tube Heat Exchanger Design

(OP)
Hi,

I am trying to find some good online sources for designing finned tube heat exchangers.  The best source I have so far is "Compact Heat Exchangers, W.M.Kays and A.L.London", which is very good however it is quite a brief text.

There seems to be very few examples for designing this type of heat exchanger.

Can someone point me in the direction of some good text for designing a finned tube heat exchanger?

Thanks in advance.

Hi vpl,

Thank you very much for your reply.  This link was exactly what I was after, and has proved very useful.

Thanks for taking the time to show me this.

Awesome reference, star for you.  Going to save a copy of that for later.

I have noticed in the finned tube heat exchanger part of this reference there are some errors in his working so be careful when using it.

Made things a bit confusing until I figured out what he had done wrong.
