when machining cavities using cavity milling i:e half a round with a ballnose end mill smaller than the round i am machining how do i control the depth to go all the way to the bottom?

RE: ugnx6 cam

Cavity mill seems to work better if you define a cut area that includes only the faces you want to machine.  You don't have the set the depth range either, just the depth per cut.  If you have a lot of faces create a surface region using tools - surface region and use the seed option.  Pick a seed face and then boundary faces to limit the extent of the region.  This will collect all the faces into one object.  On the Cut area dialog you can select the surface region as one object.
