Has anyone ever seen the error: FUNCTION NOT SUPPORTED FOR GENERAL BODIES In IDCOEN?
This happened while attempting to update views after a minor drawing update. It no longer shows to be out of date but the views did not update.

RE: error updating views

What version of NX were you running and what application were you in?

NX4 and in drafting.
After speaking to the designer that worked on it last he said he got the same error and he had to go through the assembly removing one component at a time and attempt to update the view till he found the problem file.
He can't remember but I assume he removed the problem file and then was able to update views... In any case, the issue evidently has not been solved. I am thinking that he did not fix the problem file but just put it back in after he had updated views???

RE: error updating views

If it's related to a single file, then it's very possible that it was a problem with the content of the file and not necessarily with the software itself, particularly if it can't be reproduced.  If you can fine the offending file, try running a full Part Cleanup a couple of times and see if that helps.
