Interpretation of results / Strain Energy

Interpretation of results / Strain Energy

Interpretation of results / Strain Energy

(OP)
Hi,

I have a problem, I don't know how to interpretate the results I obtained in the .pch file.
The situation is the following one:
- I have a .pch file where appears the Strain Energy of every node of the model, divided in 3 columns (for the 3 directions) and in different modes.
-What I see is that for one mode, the model get deformed in a direction, for example, X, and in the pch appears that the direction where there is the most Strain Energy is, for example, Y. What I though is that the deforming direction and the direction, where most of the Strain Energy would concentrate, would be the same.
-How can I interpretate these results?

I will really appreciate any kind of help.

Thank you.
