How to link assembly dimensions to an excel-table in Teamcenter?

How to link assembly dimensions to an excel-table in Teamcenter?

(OP)
Hey,

I would like to link specific dimensions from an assembly/assembly drawing to an excel- or access-file located in Teamcenter.
The dimensions in the table needs to be updated when the model changes.  Is this possible?  Has anyone tried to do something similar?

I tried to use the spreadsheet for this and I got dimensions linked to spreadsheet, no problem, but I didn't
find a way to get the data linked to a separate excel file in Teamcenter.

any help appreciated.

BR,

Nils

Forgot something important.  I'm using
NX 5.0.4.1 and Teamcenter 2005 SR1/2007 (V10.0.3.7a_build_8980)
