DC-DC design how to

DC-DC design how to

DC-DC design how to

(OP)
I want to learn how to design a low noise, low current, high temperature, DC-DC HV power supply.  Anybody have design notes or books they would recomend?  Things like noise compensation and transformer selection/design.

RE: DC-DC design how to

For your sensor in your other post?  If size is no constraint then a linear supply might be easiest.  Switchers are small but have to be filtered heavily.

RE: DC-DC design how to

There are some chips out there that you can use to make a low current/High Voltage DC-DC converter circuit.

However, if you are needing to do more than a basic one-chip DC-DC converter, I would suggest you look at the flow chart on page 1 of Linear Technology Application Note 73.

THEN - if you're really serious, read the remaining 63 pages of the application note.
