Advanced Component Selection issues

Advanced Component Selection issues

Advanced Component Selection issues

(OP)
I am making a model of a room of servers.  I have the servers all of the servers as different configurations of the same server, so that I can define custom properties (like the client that uses that server).  Also, they are derived components of the default part.

Now I want to be able to make it select all of the servers used by the same client for visualization purposes.  I am trying to use the advanced component selection tool, that that seems to not be designed to deal with different configurations.  If I do a search for Custom Property -> Description -> is -> Server, it says that no components are selected.  Also, the box after "Name of" is blank at the moment.

Thanks in advanced

Just a little more info: I'm not tied to that function, if there is another way to do this, please tell me.
