Stainless Steel Design

I am checking stainless steel anchor. I am checking for shear, buckling and bending stresses. Where can I find information that can help me in design. I think the steel design code is not necessarily applicable and also in steel code they always use fy for design of sections but the fy of stainless steel is too low compared to fu. Help. Thanks

RE: Stainless Steel Design

Search and use Mil-HDBK-5H for mechanical property information and equations for certain grades of stainless steel.

Thanks. I searched for Mil-HDBK-5H and found a website where I can browse it online. I was not able to find my way through it. I could not find A304 Stainless steel and I was not able to find design equation.

Thanks for your help

Al7amdlellah;
The handbook does contain mechanical property data for 301 stainless steel, which behaves similar to 304 stainless steel. Also, look at Chapter 1 for basic principles and definitions.
