Hi there,

Looking for a supplier of bolts that have helicoil threadforms on them.

My end use will be clamping a part for machining using the STI tapped holes in the part.

As you know these are standard pitches, but will need oversise diameters.
(I am getting sick of having to make these in house all the time!!!)

Anyone heard of this?

Thanks,
JAY

RE: bolts with an STI threadform.

Sorry; mis-read your post and thought you were after taps!!  I've never seen bolts advertised as such, you don't mention what size you're after, but I guess you've looke at the next size up std thread and extra fine pitch, you may get lucky there.

Thanks,
however, I do not think they make what I am looking for.

Believe me, I have googled the heck out of this to no avail.

I do not need a Helicoil tap, insert or gauge. Those are easy to get. Bear in mind that there is NO insert installed in the part.

I need a socket head cap screw that will fit(correctly) into a hole prepared for a helicoil insert(BEFORE the insert is installed).

Perhaps I missed it on the link provided but I did not see any such thing.

J
