Initial relaxation in turbulent flow analysis

Initial relaxation in turbulent flow analysis

Initial relaxation in turbulent flow analysis

(OP)
I had a question regarding CFD analysis
(I use ansys flotran)
when I solve the problem using default values for stablity and relaxation, I get none convergence errors and don't get any results for my flow analysis

the parameters which weren't converging was kinetic energy
so I changed the value of turbulent stablizing (initial relaxation value) to smaller values (1.0):

FLDATA26,STAB,Turb,1
FLDATA26,STAB,MOME,0.2
FLDATA26,STAB,PRES,0.2

my question since I have a small amount of time that I can't try to see. is will these effect by altering results?
any troubleshooting like ways that I could approach without changing these parameters?

regards

RE: Initial relaxation in turbulent flow analysis

(OP)
since I needed an answer, and noone told me an answer in a hurry, here is the answer after I tryed with variouse parameters

yes! it alters the results but reducing the turbulence effect (like the speed,...)

so in my opinion changing these parameters results in false answer for the problems highly depended on a flow regime!
