Sorry to take everyone back in time, I believe this topic has been covered in previously in: thread507-214148: Effect of Knee Brace on Span Length of Beam 744-77306

I would also like to add a bit more information before I ask my question.

2004 and 2006 ASI Advice: Design method for eccentrically connected cleats not to be used

2006 Hera publishes a preliminary Design guide

2007 Hera publishes R4-142 (which i don't have a copy of, And I'm not happy with Hera because they won't allow individual membership)

My simple question is: Does anyone know what if any testing has been carried out to check the code based approaches currently suggested by Hera?

RE: eccentrically connected cleats

For those who don't recognize the references, the question involves Australian and New Zealand practice, but would also be applicable wherever.

I would also be interested in knowing the status.  This has been hanging around a long time, but I don't think it has been comprehensively addressed.
