Dent a plane?
Dent a plane?
(OP)
Hi, how would i go about achieving this result?
please see attached image, but basically i wnat to as if you were to place a dent in an object.
im not really sure how to explain it or if the image helps but, its as if your working with clay and you press your finger into it, it would subtract mass from where you pressed it but it would then add some behind where you press.
Cheers

in SheetMetal environment. In case you need a function
that is only available in part: switch to part (there is a
function for it), create the feature and then switch back.

For a crease on a fold or similar open ended feature you may be able to use cut instead of thin wall but same principle.
Model exterior shape by adding material.
Remove material to model interior.
