Solidworks Flow Simulation 2009 for Gear Pumps

Solidworks Flow Simulation 2009 for Gear Pumps

Solidworks Flow Simulation 2009 for Gear Pumps

(OP)
The system: consisting of two gears rotating against each other
The flow: turbulence

After you do flow simulation, Is it possible to observe the changes in time of the fluid flow (for example contours with velocity vectors) with rotating gears at the same time in solidworks 2009?

RE: Solidworks Flow Simulation 2009 for Gear Pumps

Gear pumps are typically a limitation in Flow.  While you may have rotating regions in Flow Simulation, any two regions must not overlap or interfere (eg a gear pump).

You're probably looking at a moving-mesh problem and also looking to spend more $.
