RE: battery clamp

my advice is to model it with the Part Design workbench.

is there a particular need for surface geometry?

RE: battery clamp

(OP)

yes, I need unfold this clamp

RE: battery clamp

to unfold it, my advice is to use the Sheetmetal workbench - probably Aero Sheetmetal for the flange that goes around the hub.

another method is to model it with Part Design, and then extract the surface. offset the surface to the neutral plane, and use the Developed Shapes tool to unfold it.

either way, you'll only get an approximate solution due to the stretching the material.

to be honest, I do not know how to join the hub and connector and how to draw the elongated hole.

RE: battery clamp

That's why is good to take some classes....for the sheetmetal workbench you will not find so easy free tutorials (video or something else..).

Its not a difficult workbench but you will learn faster and better.

Fernando
