translate motor label
(OP)
I can't read this, can anyone help?
I think it says 460 and 265vac
1.05 and 1.85 amps
60Hz
0.45wk=0.6HP
1660 rpm?
is torque listed and what about phase?
What is that above the Hz and below?
tks much, p

RE: translate motor label
Torque is not given. 1.05 Amps at 460 V, 1.85 Amps at 265 V. 1660 rpm. Power factor = 0.78 0.45 kW power output at the shaft.
Assume the Y above the 60 Hz indicates a wye connected stator and I assume the H is insulation class.

RE: translate motor label
The line currents are different, but the current through the windings is the same with either connection and the voltage across each individual winding is the same with either connection. All the line current passes through the windings on the wye connection but the line current splits into two windings on the delta connection. That is the reason for the apparent discrepancy in currents.
C = connection; in the corroded area you may make out a triangle. This is the symbol for wye/delta.
Cl = insulation class H

RE: translate motor label
But if you are in a 50Hz country, you can still use it as a 380 or 220V motor. The speed will be 20% lower and thus the kW capacity will be 20% lower.
This by the way is a high slip motor, that's why the PF is lower than what is generally considered normal. That means the torque response to a load change may be different than you would expect with an average motor.
