Using an assembly as base part?
Using an assembly as base part?
(OP)
Does anyone know how to use(or if it's possible) an assembly as a base part?
I have an assembly that I need to machine(with fillets or lofts) and add ORB ports(library features) to. Unfortunately with my version of SW (2007 Premium) I cannot use these features in assemblies.
Any ideas.
Thanks.

RE: Using an assembly as base part?
You could save the assy as a part, and then perform whatever functions necessary.

I realize and have pretty much resigned myself to the fact that I will have to create the ORB with a Cut-Revolve of the profile which is not a big deal.
Any ideas on the corner radius though?
